I cant remember if at all a may long weekend with such summer weather. My neck and arms fried  but well worth it. Saturday morning started out with a struggle to get fish going. We started out trolling the basin in front of the cement plant and marked lots of schools of bait fish but nary a bite. Changed locations and tactics and casting crankbaits and found a few, no size but fish none the less. headed back to camp for lunch and brief siesta. renewed headed back out found some more while casting crankbaits. ended the day with 8 fish. Sunday the fish were biting all day and it didnt seem to matter where you went or how you fished. When all was said and done caught 23 fish. most were about 3lbs with a couple a bit bigger and a few on the 12" size and my partner also snapped one off thast was about 5-6lbs. The fish cleaning station was busy all day at camp. The guys fishing the back end of Hay bay did very well with fish in the 14-17". Another group of boats was working the north shore side of hay bay just east of Bayview resort. The north shore again from east of Perfect Vue all the way west to shermans point was complete bumper boats. AT one point i counted over 150 boats along there. Chattting with some of the boats they were using #2 and #3 spinners and worms. The fish were definately in the mood. I apologize for the quality of the pike pic it was my cell camera. The taildancer was very productive

It was nice meeting up with you Dan and flap n shad, sharing some knowledge and shooting the breeze. As always when you see me out there stop by.
Congrats on getting some fish, someday we will have to teach the flap n shad to use a baitcaster!!! ;)

Thanks guys,
hey teppy you know that would be impossible to teach him to use a baitcaster. being as he has 2 left thumbs on each hand there would be no room for him to thumb the spool

Way to go. The bite in Mohawk Bay was not great 8O We did catch 4 nice fish on Monday morning, 2 were 24. It was great to have Superdad, Pat , and Burt stop by . I guess I should have gone to Hay bay. :(
