Well Hodgey I'll be honest, a 0 lb bag made the decision easier.
We had been on big fish and knew it was a 0 or hero spot. We had decided to stick that spot out all day even if we weren't moving a rod as we only needed 1 or 2 fish to have a big bag. It was an all or nothing decision that didn't pan out. With fishing as slow as it was and only 11 teams over 10 lbs I think it was the right decision just wasn't our day. Still had a ton of fun.
Thanks again for the compliment, but I know you would have done the same thing as you guys proved with helping a guy out on the ice, and I'm sure most of the guys in the field would have stopped too. Not really a hard decision to make, really a wierd feeling to see an empty boat drifting down the bay. Assumed for the worst at first then as we looked around started to realize maybe it just drifted off a dock. Didn't really know what to do with it. Jeff has a buddy that is an OPP officer and he called him and they contacted the Marine unit.
I just hope however, lost it gets it back. I'd be pretty bummed to know I was missing rods, tackle, and a boat. Thats a bad day, worse then blanking a tournament.
