Never thought id hear myself say it. Im sunburnt, heatstroked, an beat to hell! what a day. Caught one sheephead after throwing just about every thing in the book at em i finally hooked into a decent pick, i was trying to get the board off the line an i looked back an saw the thing jump like a foot out of the water an gone. Decided to pack it in. Pleasure seeing you out there superdad, least you were doing a bit better than us! note to self, never ever forget worms. lol

yeah, when the weather is hot like this out, the fish are smarter then us. Their hiding in the shady areas, under logs, treed overhangs, anything but in the direct sun. Glad to hear you had a good day though. Wouldnt catch me out in this heat baking in my aluminum boat on the waters reflection lol.

With regard to the brutal heat we've been having the last few days, I was wondering how it is on the water bite-wise. I'll be down to the BoQ (from Toronto) tomorrow to try for some walleye and the last thing we want is to get skunked, seeing as this is our first time out this year lol.

Fish are still do be had, but you need to look for shaded areas, tree overhangs, weedbeds and deeper cooler water. Or fish in the evening, or early early morning.

i have great luck from shore with crankbaits! they seem to work better around dusk though. sometimes they take cranks out on the bay all day long other days they wont touch em! guess yesterday was one of those days.
