Hey guys,

Just wondering if a jig head with just a worm would work better then a bottom bouncing spinner (worm harness I guess it's called)...bit of a noob here, just wanna make sure we have at least a fighting chance at catching some walleye tomorrow when we hit the lake.

 :) :!:

Cheers!

keeping your baits at or near bottom is pretty important. bottom bouncers are gonna assure your on the bottom, where the pickeral are. ive not often fished a jig and worm on quinte, although im sure it works. your best bet are harnesses, inline spinners, or crankbaits!

When times get tough and the water starts to warm, "the dog days of summer" call for a jig and worm. Sometimes it's the only way you can hook some suspended Walts. When cranks aren't hitting and I know the fish are suspended I go with a slipfloat tipped with a jig and worm. If you do decide to try slipfloat fishing vary your jig sizes until you find what works with the current and what they are hitting.

Good luck.
