How does everyone approach a weedbed when fishing for Walleye??? Cranks, Jigs,Perp, parrallel?? I've heard a lot of bass fisherman have bene catching walleye in the weeds.

Troll the Uzick spinner behind a bullet sinker with a chunk of dew worm and a plastic tail(cuts down on perch), with just enough line to go over the tops of the weeds and KerBang...Fish ON!!!!!

crankbaits for me! i like running smaller baits (grappler shads, jointed raps, jointed shap raps) right up to the edge of the weedline with a planer board. jigs and gulp do work great though!

I was fishing the edge of a weedbed in hay bay today and hit a few walleye using a crankbait. weeds were in the 8-9ft range and I was casting parallel to them. One of the walleyes was just under 5 lbs and the other was about 3lbs.
