Yeah we were out from 5:30 - 10am. I had a guy sick all morning so we came in early. It really wasn't that rough but just enough rocking and rolling to get sick if you aren't used to it.

We finished 5 for 6 with the biggest being 21lbs. I took a few pictures today and will post them when I get a second although with the long weekend I doubt I'll have time to load them.

2 came on the wire rod out 300' with a 107mm deeper diver. The other 4 came off the riggers down 135'. The fish we dropped was a good one. Took 150' +/- of line and as I tightened the drag down to slow him down we lost him. Wish I had just let him run but he was wasn't slowing at all so I thought he needed a little more pressure. (rookie mistake    )

We were on them good today really wish we could have stayed out all day, but the poor guy was throwing up for about 2 hours and had no colour at all. He wasn't having very much fun.

as someone who shares his bad stomach (i get very bad sickness from the slightest rollers), I understand his pain!

I've taken all the gravol, dramamine, bromine, etc, in the planet....i just don't go out when there's rollers now....

Now quinte in the winter, that's more often a "chop" - tight together, white capped, waves..i'll take those all day long....mmm...december waves....

Keep up the catchin' Scott....glad to hear the program is working!

Dave,

I've heard that. There is a gravol I have that is Certified Organic Ginger. Interesting, but it works. I keep Gravol in my first aid kit on the boat and most guys take it. Some guys it just doesn't help though.

Have you been out recently dave? I heard Chinook Mania did well at the wall. Have you heard any reports from the mushroom or the haystack? I have been off the southern tip of Salmon pt. out about 8 miles.

Is there any way to identify the fish released from wellington? Do they have clipped fins?

all pens have clipped adipose fins...so by that, you only know it came from "a" pen...

but at this time, when they are staging, yes, most likely they are infront of the pens they started from ... or at least that's the intent.

the ones that are in the mid 20's to mid 30's should be the last ones from when wellington pen was the only one to have clipped fins, other than that, steve your right all have addy clips now even the direct stocked ones have a addy clip as of this year
