Quick Question!

I'm running two different brands of sonars off my boat and I'm getting interference when both are on.

Here's the question...can I splice the two transducer wires and run both sonars off one transducer? I'm running a Hummingbird and a Lowrance.

If anyone can offer any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

I also run 2 and have no troubles...... the transducers are about 4 feet apart one on each side of the boat. My question to you is are your cables running together? every thing ive ever read is be carefull not to have your transducer cables close to other eletrical stuff so id give that a check and see if you can get them away from eachother you could be getting interfearance from that,,,,,,, good luck

If you have a dual frequency transducer put one of 50khz and one on 200khz or whatever you might have. This should help as well.

There is another way to hook up different depth finders. If possible use 2 different batteries as your source, this will eliminate the interfierance.

Don't cut and splice them, unless you want to buy new transducers!!

Try moving them further apart, if that doesn't do it then it must be the way the wiring is run/installed.
