I thought that this would be interesting to find out the weight of some of the hogs released back over the years for another Quinte angler to catch have been .
Pictures will make this post one for all to get the thrill back into the blood as these fish must still be out there due to live release.
Lets see em boys because I know that a few of you have beat the MUX.
I have photos but they are from old camera. I will try to scan and post

Snarfy PB 12+lbs
Mux PB 14+lbs
Mac PB less than Snarfy but not buy much PB11++
Deprop PB 10+lbs
Snarfy Jr PB 14+lbs Lucky little Sh*t

12.8 Snarfy, if memory serves it was caught on the same magical day as Muxies.
Tight Lines.

As I recall, the 14+lber (Oh Pig of Pigs) was caught using the last minnow (a dead minnow, complete with a bootprint on it) jigging. Ironically, it was caught on the Sunday morning (the prizes at the Fall Get Together having been awarded the previous night). A day late and a dollar short. C'est la vie.

You may have something there, Ursa.

I think, however, that it was due to a techical error in that it was quite windy and wavy on the day in question. Thinking back, it was during the application into the lake of the proven attractant (MuxUrine-tm), that the motion of the ocean caused the application of the attractant to my own personal footwear. The attractant was then transferred to the bait, which then attracted the pig.

Thanks for pointing that out. Helpful, very helpful.

I'm sure there have been lots of walleye over 16lbs taken over the years.

The biggest on my boat last fall was 15.7 lbs (15lbs 11oz). The fish was released and I did not have a scale onboard, but we used weight and girth calculator to get weight. We did keep a fish for the wall that was smaller in both length and girth that weighed 14lbs 15oz's on the same day. Here is the link for the post I made last fall about it viewtopic.php?f=1&t=7973 . The picture of the big fish is second from the bottom.

Here is the youttube video Maverick made of the day with all the fish on it.
