Sept 26 conditions

worked from Keith's shoal to east of the bat cave. Water temp 17C (62F). Very few bait balls. Big hooks on finder scattered from 35 to 65FOW. One brute of a drum for my efforts. Few boats out. Used dipseys, rigger and in-line boards.

Was gonna go out myself but ended up puttering around the garage instead.
Sure was a beauty of a day to be out.

Sure was a beautiful day out there, also did the bat cave and keiths shoal run. marked loads and loads of fish out there but no takers........ did end up with 3 eyes, and a white bass for the days efforts but saying that watched the boards bump back at least 5 times but the fish just didnt stick. water in the top was 62 and change. no trouble at all finding fish, so when they do turn on it should be a reel fun time, trick will be in being there when they deside to feed Thanks Al. I was out to the reach yesterday, although windy and overcast ( lots of boats out early but gone once big chop started) we persevered thanks to the S.S. Minnow, like everyone else posting previously here I marked tons of fish also between 20-65, a few bait balls. But to no avail we also came up empty handed. We were running big dipseys off the boards and Mann's and Rapala's down the chute.

Got down on the Bay-O-Quinte with Grizz today to wash some walleye body baits. Spending the summer on the lake fishing 10 tournaments takes a lot out of an old guy like me. It is nice to get back to my roots.

We had a great day and the weather was awesome. We ran in-lines at first with Reef Runners and raps. The new Zboards ran well with the light 3 cores. They were made for heavy copper sections.

It is really hard to figure out what these hooks are, especially when nothing is hitting. Chuck figured the color pattern early on and it was just a matter of picking the lure type and speed that we needed.

When we got down past the ferry, we dropped in a rigger and wire diver. No takers.

Chuck & I changed a lot of baits today - trying to find something that would work.

We went 3eyes for 8 or 9 shots after we found a color that they preferred. Hot lure was a Reef Runner - Eriely Naked.

Very nice scenery today and water conditions were near perfect.
Overcast and a little walleye chop most of the day.

Grizz it was a pleasure fishing with someone as keen as you are.

wow those are just awesome pics, how did ya like the z boards? I added flags from church tackle to all mine, you can but just the flag for 3-4 dollars.

Good day folks. I just joined the forum 2 wks ago and am enjoying the various discussions and fish reports. I've been in the Napanee area for a few years(4) now and am still learning locations and tackle. Hard water fishing, Huffs my place to hang out, usually in the AM.
I was out early sunday as well and did not have any luck for the outting, par for the course lately for me. Last fish was an 8-9 Lb eye at the mouth of Hay Bay 2 weeks ago.

I like the Zboards. They are the Big Daddy's, designed for the big copper rigs. Pulled the short cores very well after a little tuning. I will add flags when I get some time. Next time I get down to Watertown I will look for the smaller Zboards and give them a try.

i dont believe anyone in watertown will have them, but fat nancys and all season sports in pulaski will have them for sure

I was out on Sunday midday marked lots just west of Glenora on the north side around the red buoy in the 60 ft depth range. No bites, so I moved in closer and picked up a dozen 12"+ perch on a bottom bouncer

Still going strong out in the lake with 10 to 15 fish days on average. Looking at these reports and the sonar screen images it is almost time to start working the Bay and Adolphus Reach as the strong wind days out on the lake make for tough fishing and cancelations for clients. Thanks for all the great reports...
