Quinte Fishing

Hi All

First time on the site.
My son and I were out on Sat. Launched at Dersoronto and ended up by Shermans Point.
There were about 25 boats out there. Only saw small fish caught. The ones that were caught were by jigging.
I did get one drumm about 8lbs.
I don't have boards or a drift sock. We were trolling with Wallye divers.

What should we be using. The fish that I marked were very deep

Without the boards or socks,you should be able to wrangle up a fish or two, slow trolling works best. Walleye divers have caught many fish in the past, should still get something. Perhaps it will be the 'hot lure' as it's not seen very often.

Depending on how deep they were maybe try using Reef Runner 800's or some other baits along those lines. They will get you down between 25 and 30 feet.
I don't like catching eyes much beyond that as the mortality rate drastically increases the deeper you go.
