Not much happening there. 9-12 in of ice. Three guys managed two walleyes 14-15 in. One other lost at the hole, probably in or over the slot. Very few fishermen. Probably less than a dozen guys. CO's were out. Talked to one poor guy who had a fishing licence but forgot it at home. Even after calling in and confirming that he had a licence, the CO sent him home with a tidy $150 fine. Essentially a fine for having a bad memory.

If you think that is bad....up until this year there was a glitch in the MNR where if you did not have a license it was less a fine than not producing a license.

I kid you not, a CO filled me in about this problem a few weeks ago! Pretty funny!
