Went out for the day with my wife & our friend on Monday. It was a tough bite and super windy. We had a 4 hour truck ride to get there, we fished hard for about 7 hours and only iced one walleye. Our day was cut short due to a migrane & lack of fish. At least we caught one before our long ride back home. Here's a pic of the one we caught.

One fish is for sure better than none! It was a two day marathon without sleep, including hosting dinner for 20 people. The girls were troopers but luckily had the hut while I sat outside in the wind. If we could have picked a different day to go, we would have but our friend had to work this week so was only able to go that day. She just started ice fishing with us last year and has never caught a walleye so we were hoping she'd land one that day. But I guess that's why they call it fishing and not catching. Makes us want to come back and try our luck again. I heard green on gold or gold on gold mr champs were hard to come by up there... I'd be willing to exchange one for a good fishing spot next time I come up there...LOL
