started fishing on friday morning at 9:30am right out in front of the boat ramp in 28ft of water there was two much slush to go anywhere else with the bike but it worked out for the best anyway.managed to get a total of 12 fish for two days fishing.all fish where taking on the darty and a white cleo with a orange stripe down the side.the fish was cought early morning and late in the after noon.nothing between 11:30 am and4:30 pm except for the perch that truned on when the walleye stopped bitting.Image

Nice report, glad to see some fish being caught. I've heard that there are fish being caught but people are reticent to publish results for fear of a horde of anglers rush to the spot mentioned.

Will try the dartee more next year.

Tight lines

Hello High Hopes,

It is my first time posting on this board. Nice fish! I wanted to ask you about the Williams Dartee. What size of Dartee were you using, what colour tape on it and were you tipping it with minnows(mud minnows, shiners etc.) It is a lure I am very familiar with. I use mainly 3 types of the large size dartee always untipped. Namely silver with chartreuse, silver with red and silver with light blue. I fish them for lake trout and whitefish and they have accounted for many a good fish. I am heading down to the BOQ this weekend for one last kick at the can! Thanks High Hopes - I appreciate the insight. :D

it was the 3" silver chartreuse tipped with two mud minnows fish close to the bottom{SO CLOSE THAT THE MINNOWS TAILS ARE ALMOST THOUCHING THE BOTTOM}then come up some after a few minutes then go back down thats when they seem to be there waiting for it. post how you make out. BEST OF LUCK AND HIGHHOPES.
