Well, I feel like whining!

Was planning on going to the bay for the opener weekend. I even booked the monday off. Now my employer has decided to double my travel schedule for march and april :(
Since I just got my boat last fall and didn't have time to go over everything, plus the minor motor issues I had to work out.
I probably am not going to be able to get the boat ready, so I can't book a place for the weekend because I don't know if I'll be ready or not.

If I can make it on the Saturday morning, how busy are the ramps on the opener? Am I going to be waiting for ever to launch my boat?

I guess I'll have to play it by ear WHAT A DRAG!

RangerGuy,

You won't be waiting that long at the ramp. The ramps will be busy all day and night but the busy probably will be just before midnight on Friday as a lot of guys like to get out for midnight.

With the way the weather is going you might be able to get the boat on the water this month. Last year, the bay was open on April 15 but it will be earlier this year.

Cheers,

Mike

I hope so LOL! I am going to be really pressed for time I got a 2 week period to get my boat ready :( Here a list of projects i gotta get done before she's ready LOL!

1) Find Livewell pumps (because they weren't in the same spot as my bilge)
2) Install a Tach
3) Install a Trim Switch by the drivers seat
4) Un-Winterize the motor
a. Test all warning horns
b. DOUBLE CHECK VRO! (Really thinking about disconnecting it and just mixing my gas and oil )
c. Change plugs
5) Fix a few dings in my gel coat because some dumbies with a big cruiser that they didn't know how to drive. Mushed through a channel and pretty much put my boat on top of a dock while it was tied up, snapping boat ropes (1/2 inch thick).
If you can imagine waves big enough to lift a 17' Ranger high enough to put from the transom to about 3/4 the length of the boat almost right on top of the dock. Good thing I wasn't having a nap or she would have floated away :S

I'll stop now because I still gotta go over the trailer LOL!.
