I made it out to Big Island today only to get skunked. I started fishing at 3:00 pm and was not marking much a few perch. Got a few jumbo perch but no eyes. I marked a couple but could not get them to touch anything. Lots of Ice and lots of snow and slush on the Ice. I had to use diff-lock pulling the hut and kept breaking through the thin layer of ice over the slush. I was out from the farm at Allison rd in 18 feet of water. I looked out the window and no my eyes were not playing tricks on me, there was a guy driving his truck out onto the ice and was out almost halfway across the bay from the Marina on Big Island. I was on a good 10 inches of black ice were i was so i guess all is well. Sure would be nice if that slush would freeze up.

Speaking of nuts, seen an atv king quad with two people on it, couldn't have been on more then an inch or so of good ice with 2" of snow ice in spots that he was driving...quite NUTS!

I have about 200 pounds of frozen snow and ice on mine. Still loaded on the truck.
Think I'll take it to the car wash this morning. We had about a foot of slush and water in places at Onderdonks yeaterday. Fisherboy and I had to unhook off the hut 3 times !!!
