I hear ya buddy...I want to quit too, but knowing that maybe just once I will hit the big one....kind of like playing the lottery, only colder! I have caught a single fish in 3 years....everyone else around me catches them, but I haven't given up. Maybe I'm just stupid?

You may think about using a guide for a half day. Learn some tips and get a feel for it.

A guide is the way to go - think about it, most of us live more than 1 hour away from the BOQ and the amount spent on gas/food/etc each trip pales in comparison to how much a guide would cost.

i disagree, you don't need a guide...where there are lots of people fishing, usually the guides are amongst them....at first follow the crowds....huffs may be busy but still produces...same with shermans or thompsons, in front of deseronto..just get out there....as for techniques and bait/lures..that's easy...just follow this site!

True fishermen dont give up, they keep at it, sooner or later, you get on them.Besides, what else would you be doing, its exercise and fresh air.

I agree, sometimes it is almost to easy, but I like the hunt, It is gratifying when you finally get into them. Not sure if I would enjoy it as much, if the fish were allways there,.
