ya...forget this ,project seems to complicated so im just gonna find a good LED light....i was using my spotlight i got with a drill(drill and light set),18v 2 power packs, but cant risk losing such a nice light/drill battery.
i saw some clip led lights at doller store.ill get a few of them, there crazy bright and long lasting LED.maybe 2 in the corners of the hut inside, one clipped up outside like a 'porch light'(trial and error,i need outside light so i can see durring pack up)

well if you get the rope leds from besthongkong.com they will hook right up to the battery. they are cheap and extremely bright.

if you get a battery operated light you can also hook it up to that battery using resistors to get the voltage you need.

i have set up my big buddy fan to run off of a fish finder battery if need be. a 1 ohm resistor will drop the voltage from 12v - 6v which is what the buddy calls for and will not blow anything up.

i also use the dollar store led head lamps and they are O.K but compared to the energizer ones(19.99) they are not nearly as bright and they take 2 AAA opposed to 3 AAA

Overkill check out a little candel lantern forin the hut. That what's I use and I just buy big packs of candels from dollar rama. It's not a Coleman but it's cheap and does the trick.

I use a coleman lantern with small propane bottles. It throws more heat than a 3000 btu heater. I returned the heater and got my $100 back. Heat and light at the same time!!!

I had a similar dilema for my commando .This is what i went for. Test run last week and the result was awesome. If I do go for another light in the future Princess also has a 5"x2" dome light that will run forever on one of those 12v batteries.
Image
Princess auto $6 run on 3 AAA(comes with), bought 2. Rivetted broom hangers on the backs so I can pop them on and off ,total cost $14

Canadian tire sells a light for tents and it has 24 leds and takes 4 aa batteries and is usually $7.99 we have used it 4 2 years and have changed the batteries 2 times and it will fit in a coat pocket. it lights up the 4 man hut like nothing and has a spot to hang it up with a hook from a bunggy cord. i would use no other light, plus it wont break the bank. i wish it would help with the fishing
