Sure was cold Monday morning. Took a lot of convincing myself to get out of bed, to drive from T.O. to Deseronto to fish alone at those cold temps for a few hours. But, after 30 sec.'s of thought I jumped up and loaded the car. Wish I had of made it a bit earlier, but ended up getting to Moons around 8'ish and on the ice about 9'ish east of the bridge. Only saw one other guy out roughing it. There were a few others out that were in huts, but they didn't hang around long either. I fished until 12:30 and managed a couple of nice eaters 18in. & 16in., taken on the pimple. Had a few other watchers that I got tired of trying to coax, so they're still swimming. Expected a lot more ice than what I found! Most of the ice consisted of white crap anywhere from 3 to 5 inches. With the milder temperatures over the next few days, I doubt I'll be hitting that area for quite awhile. The daytime run-off with that added salt is going to chew away the bottom pretty quick. (((((((Be safe)))))))

Met a likeable guy that lurks on the Quinte board (name is Mike), when I was loading the car to leave. Mike if you're reading.... how did you make out by the island? did the pimple work? Oh, get yourself a handle and join in on the board! :D

Looking forward to next Sunday's derby, hope it's a good turnout.

Here's a pic of the eaters:

Cheers,
Glenn
