I use a coleman lantern, and it also throws a pretty good amount of heat.

Frabill have a shelter Light bar that produces 72 lumens (4 LED light system) that runs on only 6 AA batteries.

-Velcro fastener attaches to bar
-Beveled back to fit against shelter bar
-Directional lights (18 lumens of light per pod)
-Does not need to be removed from shelter during take down.

These lights are one of the best on the market.

Check them out in the store

Hi Clamlover. I use a Clam Ice Fishing light that I got from Quinte Outdoor Sports and it works great for me. It has a bank or three led lights that are quite bright and it also has a two speed fan that brings the heat down from the ceiling. I find the fan also helps reduce the condensation in the hut. It runs off two D cell batteries that last me about 4 outings and it also has a 12 lighter plug that you can use to plug it into your quad or run it from the battery of your flasher.

I'm with W9, I use a coleman lantern. It takes the green canisters and so does my heater, so I always have a few on hand.

Ya, coleman lantern works great. Bought a 3000 BTU heater, and brought it back because the lantern throws more heat. And like I say, gives sufficient light. Kinda killin' two birds with one stone. Don't even need a heater!!! Although, there is alot of condensation. I set up my portable in the living room when I get home to air it out.

I bought one of those disc shape Led lights that claims it is meant for portable huts. The magnet will not hold on my hut or a buddies... garbage but it does throw some good light if you tie strap it on. They make a rope style led light that looks interesting.

Do the lanterns also have an O2 sensor like the heaters do? I would be concerned if not..

Not sure, but I have two vents in my portable, and can also open the door every once in a while.
