Sounds like something that a big tall Habs fan would be involved with . Keeping multiple spawners , no regard for limits or regulations...etc.
I'd say you should have snitched , but a close friend of mine is a C.O. and he always tells me that they don't have the staff or resources to respond to the snitch-line complaints in any kind of timely manner . I've seen Americans come up here and catch and keep Bass right off the spawning beds all day .... you call the line and the MNR / C.O.'s never come . Pretty sad. Vigilante justice seems to be the only recourse a man could take if he cares!

I have seen Canadians do the same Trigger and watched Canadians keep multiple fish over 25 inches, more than they are allowed

Hey Trigger, by law you're allowed to keep 1 over. Just because he's holding up 2 fish for a picture, doesn't mean he (Vexslayer) is poaching!! Pretty good chance there was someone else with him (Someone is taking the picture) I don't think he's the first guy to ever get a fish mounted. That's why you're allowed to keep 1 trophy!! Those are pretty harsh accusations!! Don't accuse someone of doing something when you don't know. Leave the guy alone!!

Ya know guys this isn,t an american or canadian thing !!!! Its about guys NOT respecting the fishery or the regulations!!!! As fishermen we -everyone has to respect and obey the regulations!!!

Whoa Grizz, you meet some Canadians this week that have ya wondering...? Seems "outta character" for you to be just labeling Canadians...of course it's likely to be Canadians that abuse a fishery ecosystem in Canada vs any other nationality...but please don't label us all in such a manor. I would much prefer to see your post read something like, "wonder how many poachers take..."

oh, I didn't see triggers reference to americans, sorry. Anyhow, I didn't say negative at all about grizz, in fact gave him the benefit of the doubt that there had to be a reason for his post about Canadians, and clearly there was...

Thanks for clearing that up.

Cheers,

had2

yes im sorry and i should have quoted him. my mistake lol and honistly this happens every place you go. definatly where people come from makes no differance at all i was just giving it back to trig . seems to me laws and ethics seem to over lap in many areas and fishing is deffinatly one of them for sure law says you can or allowed to do this when some ethics say its wrong to do this or that.........as Chasin said we all know right from wrong when it comes to the law. grizz

I grew up on a fishing lodge on,.. can you guess?? Mother was an American, father Canadian, clients at the lodge mostly from NY, Pa, NJ, but also all over Canada. I've seen the fish hogs, the wasters, the avid conservation angler who enjoys a meal of fish and the strict conservationist. In my experience it's never been divided by nationality, race, $$$$. There are good solid people from all over who enjoy our fisheries and are genuinley concerned about their sustainability. Had the pleasure of meeting a few of them over the past few days. I like to judge each person by their actions, and not apply lables to people. Once you start doing that there are always people who are unfairly "tarred with the same brush". Find the solid ones and go fishing with them.

Tight Lines.

One of my most favorite quotes...
"One person practising good hunting and fishing ethics is worth more than 50 people preaching about it".
I wish I could have been the person credited with saying saying such a wise thing...I am not but I'll pass it along.
My other favorite is ( sorry Rev )
"The Lord must have loved Ar$eHoles cause he made so darn many of them"
haha Sorry again Rev ( Sheldon put an extra $20 in the dish and I'll pay you when I get back.) Gary
