hey all, went out with fishandgolfpro and Walleye Dreamer on thursday, friday and saturday!!! We had a descent time catchin a few fish, had a great time shooting the breeze!!!!All in all we did ok,on thursday it was-23 C,brrr, went 3 for 11,with a 27" eye takin the top fish that day, friday was much better temp. wise but the fishing slowed 1-3 ,3.10 eye being the top dog,on Saturday the weather was beautiful-0 C--but the fishing was awful slow Chris lost a nice eater at the hole around 9am,then nothing all day ,,Chris had to go early--2ish---around three Chris called and asked if the old man was kicking my azz yet?? i was in the middle of replying--no nothing moving when SLAM,a huge eye decided she wanted to play!!!! after a short but tough battle a 32inch eye poked her head into the hole!!!she GORFFED my jigging rap hard, bleeding bad though,,shame really, after taking a few snaps she was held in the hole, tried to revive her but she was just pumping blood out ,so we kept her, hook mortality, anyways--Chris and Larry--we had a great time,Dad bought new boots,as he burnt a 3 inch hole through his{my} Sorels, lol, jeans and all,!!!!Anytime you guys want to fish im in, heres the pic of the eye!!!

Met up with fishandgolfpro this morning to fish the same area again. Didn't see anything like that beauty. We ran into Quinte Prince on the shore and gave them a go. A few lookers, but no takers. Still a great morning on the ice with a couple of hardcore anglers who happen to be great guys. Pleasure to fish with them both and hope we can do it again soon.

Then went to the ProTackle weigh in and got to meet some more of the folks from the board including Grizz, Big Gene and had2lose. No fish to weigh in, but still had some fresh walleye and left with a new jiggin rod (draw prize) and made some new friends, great day.

Got the fish in my profile pic within 20 yards of where you got that big girl. One of my better days on that spot, limit and a big fish, but it can be real tough there. Got to make the most of your hits there, as I find it not really a numbers spot, but always a chance to hook into a really nice fish. Even by quinte standards where they have to be double digits to even turn a head!! Glad you had a great time and got out with your Dad.

Give a shout if you have a chance to get down for another fish before the season ends, and we'll see if we can top that one.

May ye always have a bend in yer rod.

Ed it was awesome fishing with you and your dad this past weekend. The fishing got slow, but I think we made the best of it! Glad you got that hog before your ice season ended!

It was great meeting some new people these past few days as well! I think I met more new people from the forum than total fish on the ice the entire weekend LOL.

Really looking forward to getting together with everyone soon for a fish!

Tight lines,

Chris

hey Quinte Prince ,how are ya,I think the story,s getting a little twisted, lol,I got my best fish in the fall a number of years ago!She was a true pig,16.3 same as vexslayers ,out in front of Myers Pier in Belleville,i,ll try and find the pics, was at about 11pm ,we had a few fish that night ,all good fish, she hit and it felt like a weed snag--i give the rod a reef to free the weeds and it started bucking, lol, not much fight at all,put the net under her and snapped a couple of pics and released her ,lol, but she was big for sure,as for getting out again ,i.d love to but am having wrist sugery on feb 8, so my season is probably done now,but next year for sure,!!!!!!

Thursday, Friday AND Saturday? Man you guys are trying hard. Lucky boys. It was nice to bump into some of you guys still trying to coax them on Sunday morning. Not much action though. Just the odd one.

Nice fish you've got there!!!
