Went out today and the walk was pure hell. Dragged out the 2 man clam plus gear and it was a real SOB. Got out there in the morning with a bit of a wind but by 10:00 am it was a freaking hurricane and getting worse. Had to pull down the hut cause we could not hold her down. We were sitting in a foot of water once we cut the holes and there is allot of slush under that snow when you get out to about the halfway mark. Watched a few bikes try to get out with no luck and most times you could not see 20 feet with the blowing snow. What a joke.....

Hey OVRK1LL it was brutal. I had a couple of friends fishing the reach and two in Belleville and they called to say the conditions were the same and they were heading off. I must have watched a least 10 guys walk out not quite to the fishing grounds and then turn back. 3 guy's were about 150 feet from the farm and fished there for about a hour then quit. A guy went by on an old Elan SS and i bet if i had put the clam back up i would have beat him to the point. lol
