Thanks very much for the prizes which included both tackle and money for the Belleville Police Kids Fishing Derby. The Police Kids Fishing Derby will take place on June 4th, 2011 (times 09:00 to noon) and once again at Victoria Park. I will provide a post on this event soon.

It’s great to know that local fisherman and those that travel far to participate in this first annual event wanted to allocate their resources to help out youth, isn’t that what it’s all about. In our world we see mostly the lower end of society but its nice every once in awhile to meet top drawer people who want to look out for ours and not themselves.

I think i can speak for everyone involved when I say IT WAS OUR PLEASURE Pat!

I would love to volunteer for the event this year and help out anyway possible! Please let me know what I can do, educating youngsters about our beautiful Bay of Quinte, and having fun catchin some fish is what its all about!!

Hey Pat,

This being the first event, it was a small affair. We all enjoyed being out on the ice for a good cause, even though we would have been there anyhow with less motivation. Maybe next year maybe we can ramp it up a bit. No tellin' what will happen given the opportunity.

If we'd charged a fee for every fish caught, , we'd 'a been in trouble, unless we charged A LOT.

I was tickled pink to have had the opportunity to have fished with such a fine group of fishers. Next year you should come along. Bring your handcuffs. Nothin' but trouble makers.
