in the broadest possible terms, could someone point me towards some "trout" streams in the picton area. i am passing through in may and spending abt 4 day. willing to drive 1/2 hr!
i don't need specific intelligence - just general pointers.

You could try Bomanville creek.or Port Hope ,Both these place are curantly both producing Browns and Steelies and small salmon!!!

Your nearest best bet at that time of the year would be Cold Creek, near Brighton. Go to the Conservation area. This would be roughly 55 min from Picton. Browns and brookies. Quinte Sports in Belleville will or should have some maps, patterns, etc.

There will also be a small amount f rainbows hold in the Napanee R. near the falls/Springside Park area....but....you have to be early and the temp has to be cool. If it is warmer....move on.

Other than that....I will provide no more information. There are too few trout in the area and the actual coolwater....is minimal.

i can appreciate you being protective of your trout streams.
i will definitely give a call to the folks at the angling store in belleville.
thanks again.
i said half hour. 55 minutes should do fine for a trout stream! :D
