Quinte Fishing

Hi everybody;

Has anybody been fishing for channel cats recently on the Bay? I have been fishing Channel cats out of Percy Boom now for a few years with sporadic success and was wondering if anyone could give me a little info on the bay cats.

Went out att night and caught a 12 pound cat on a jig and worm. they were hitting right after the sun went down. was fishing near big Island.
hope that helps...the fish took me 10 minutes to land, was using my ultralitle and 4 lb test....

Saturday night ( right after dark) I released a 34 X 20" catfish from the Bay...what a fight. She was caught on a white jighead and work just after dark. The fish had 2 other hooks in its mouth and was towing around 50 feet of line. 1 hook was fresh and the other pretty rusted. I removed both hooks and the fish swam away fine...that one was caught on 4 lb test too...

anyone else fish cats?
