Opening morning I head out with my oldest son who is 1yr away from his jr hunters course. We set up in a promising spot and watch the day unfold. Surrounded by gobblers, we are excited as the sky begins to lighten up. 'I see a bird in that tree' Matt says, sure enough, several minutes later the first of 4 hens pitch out of the trees into our field. They hang around long enough to have Tommy boy come up from behind us and join the show. At 6:30 a load of #6's out of the 20ga puts a serious hurt on our opening day bird.

Not only is he good at getting geese, he is a great turkey retreiver also
Hard to get the group shot, but I think this one is pretty good.

Now that is a great bird. Nice to have your son along I love their look on the kids faces when the game is on the way in. Eyes the size of tonnies.
