Kevin, check out the article in the Times this morning basically saying the Canadians are correct. I believe Owens is off on his interpretation.
By the way, the number I told you about the other day cant not be called from a cell phone or from the states. Last Friday I tried calling and was told I had to call in from Canada. I went to the marina in Rock Port, called in and gave them my boat number, who was in the boat, their birth dates and citizenship, they gave me a report number and i was done. Took about 10 minutes (five to answer the phone and five to give them all the info).
The catch is, after doing that, you are supposed to report back in when you come back into the states. I was told I can do that at the video phone on the main dock in Alex Bay or report into customs at Boldt Castle would work too I guess.
I have applied for a NEXUS card as suggested by US Customs and others on here.
