Anyone have experience with these batteries, how would they work with my trolling motor on my bassboat, are they worth the extra $$$?

never had them for marine, but i have one in the old chevelle, and well it had been sitting for over 2 years, in the car, and it started the car first turn, was surprised there was any juice left in it, and that the car started... wish i had more time for the old car...
i dont think you will see a regular battery do that.. here is the battery companys sales pitch or one of them, link on bottom..
Delivers higher peak amps faster than conventional batteries

Provides more power from a smaller package
True zero maintenance
Holds charge better during periods of nonuse
Operates in any position without spilling
Offers proven durability & performance (Read testimonials)

YES they are totally worth the money. I have been using Optima Batteries since 2005 and on big water. The shelss does not crack like traditional cell batteries. I get longer daily life, great for the trolling motor and I can run all sort of electronics and equipment all day. I have 3 Optima's in my ocean boat that I used for full time chartering. I got those Optima's in 2005 and just replaced two of them for this year. I was not certain if they needed it, I just did it. But, I put one Optima in my truck and used it for months prior to selling that truck.

My 3 cents

I'd like to put the batteries in the link in my boat. They weigh less than half of agm or lead acid batteries BUT 8O 8O 8O Check out the price! You also have to purchase the chargers. hopefully the prices come down over the next few years.
