Hey Gang,

Heading up to the park for the long weekend, going to try my luck up there for the first time. Hard to believe! Anyways, going for Lakers in Opeongo and maybe a few other surrounding lakes for other species. Anyone have any useful info for me, hints, help, locales, lures etc, etc. If you want to keep it private please e-mail me or PM. I thank everyone in advance for all help.

Also noticed something strange, when checking the Navionics site for Opeongo and whether it was on the list and was surprised it is not, anyone have a chip to cover this lake and would you rent it to me or let me borrow it for the long weekend? Let me know. Still looking for more advice in fishing this lake.

Big Gene, I head up there every year for a couple times during the season. If you fish right where the arms spread out and troll in a triangle hitting the points you should be lucky. I always use leadcore line with williams gold and silver spoons.. ..We have also had luck up there in Canoe and Smoke lakes. They are smaller and nice if the weather gets bad..if you ask at the outfitters shop they will be very helpful,,Good luck..Tom
