Well it looks like I got a mixed bag of responses about my st.croix/pro advantage dissapointment post. I was glad to see that there were some people that understand and probably appreciate getting info on store quallity. I never once said anything about the character of the people that work there, I just told you what happened so Im not sure why people would diffend them by trying to slander me. Oh well I guess you can choose to believe me or not, it really doesnt matter to me, but if you read down a few replies on my first post about this someone wrote that they were told the exact same thing!

PS Do you know why my last post got locked. Thank you

Probably because you called Jamie a liar, but that's not questioning someone's character is it? Jamie is too professional to come on here and get involved in this crap by the way. But he did tell me you came in his store and acted like a complete a$$hole, so a word to the wise, this is a small community and your reputation is about all you have at the end of the day. Try and treat people with respect and you will get a lot further than slandering and name calling on an internet forum.

Boat Guy was told this---

"When I came into the shop he told me that if the rod broke he would replace it."

If this is true and did not happen, then there is an issue.
Was it explained at the time of purchase that there would be warranty costs?

Parksy,

This is not true. It did not happen. Yes it was. Boat guy is off his nut. We should let this threat die and move on. Otherwise, we might as well start up a quarter drive to cover his $20 shipping cost. Jamie, the good sport he is, might even let us put the jar on his counter down at ProAdvantage.

This is really none of my business, but in Boat Guys defense, he states he was told one thing, and the store didn't honour it. Not trying to slander Pro Advantage's reputation, or the owners character, but I don't think it matters if you bought the product in Toronto, New York, or Trenton, or Belleville. Big or small, who cares. There were other guys on this forum that said they were told the same thing. Just because you are friends with the owner, or live in the same town, doesn't mean you have to cut someone up for expressing his opinion. Also, the "Quarter Jar" might have to be bumped up to a "Loonie Jar" because he said it was going to be $70 for the rod to be sent out, and not $20. Anyways, I don't know who is wrong or right, but in both parties defense, it's a shame for anybody to get ripped off!!!

Ditto on that Landshark. At this point the points on both sides have been made so its time to let it go.

I am adding the follwing post on behalf of Jamie of Pro Advantage Paintball and Hobbies. I'm not unlocking the thread and I dont expect to see any more discussion on this topic

"St.Croix Warrenty.

$17 to $20 depending on rod length for shipping Canada post to Fed ex center in Mississauga (Fed ex handles all shipping for St. Croix)

With the rod you attach a envelope with $20usd or $20cnd for shipping back.

St. Croix uses fed ex sooo, you may get a $13.45 brokerage fee a month later!

That is the true warranty costs on sending back any St.Croix rod.

If anyone has any questions or concerns I would be glad to help in anyway possible and explain anything you may be unsure or unaware of.

Thanks, Jamie
owner of Pro Advantage Paintball and Hobbies."
