I caught several decent fish on 12lb visious floro including pike and lakers that put up a good fight never had an issue with line breaking i used this from March to mid may then decided i was making the change to suffix 832 braid and haven't turned back

just food for thought,i always run a 4-5 ft leader with braid on spinning gear,i also run a 50ft section of floro on my trolling setups connected with a tiny barrel swivel, always use an improved clinch knot ,a surgeons knot to connect to my braid on spinning gear, i have used alot of different brands of floro,i have used berkley 100% and vanish , never had any troubles with break-offs or knot strengths, just keep checking your guides, also check the roller on your spinning reels on the bail arm????

g loomis crankbait deep flex series, the 7"2 , i think med ?. 2 of those. 2 quantum axis, 7, med. 2 quantum energy pt's 7"4 med, all spinning rods. i drop shot with the same gear, at the current time, working on adding more rods. i am still new to the tounament stuff.
floro should have give to it, compared to braid.

i had a 8"6 cant remember brand, med, rod, that i loved, it had a ton of give to it, and i could cast a mile.

i run braid, suffix 832, as well, been a braid guy along time.. but floro works better in the sun.. heck in the evening when the sun starts to go down, if there bitting i bet you could catch fish on yellow nylon rope.. but its one of those things, if you fishing in the bay in a mixed bay spot, were you could catch pike, walleye, and bass.. and probly more pike then bass, diffently braid...
because if not you will be spending more time retieing then fishing, and run out of tackle....

I beilve floro is the way to go for full sun cranking, its harder to see by the fish..

If you want to see some thing really neat, i have lucky craft crank baits in a red craw pattern, when fishing them you cant see the bait or the line on floro, untill its about a foot from the surface, and a foot out. on braid you can see the line coming from about 8 feet out.. if your ever on the water and you see me around.. and you want to see that red really does disapear under water as well as floro flag me down.. i took a buddy out last week, he grab a rod with floro, and one of those craw patten cranks and was amazed by it, i was trowing a green crank and you could see mine as clear as day but not his..

Thanks guys

i was told by the wife to tie a light weight to my line and see if i can reel it up from down stairs to the man floor, and this stuff just snaps in the middle. or else where, i tryed it 6 times (once with each rod), and got my magic 3 breaks. so one of the 2 floro's i used went to garbage after being on the rod for awhile... just wish i new what floro it was, they look the same. lol

Hey Fireball,If you are having problems with line breaking at the reel it might be the roller on your bail if this problem is on your spinning reels. I have seen this more than once at the repair shop where I help out. This is mostly a problem on chrome plated rollers that do not spin freely and have erosion damage from braided line cutting into the chromed surface. You will have to look closely at the chromed surface as the damage might not be very severe but will cause problems none the less.If this is the case you will have to replace the roller.

not a rod or reel issue.... all 6 reels are brand new, this is the first line they have ever seen... they are shimano's..i did some research yesturday, even made a phone call to a bassmasters pro i know, kevin short.. he told me and what i found was. that floro just doesnt last, kevin said he respools before every tournament, and after every day.. and like matt clap said, he said he reties every rod 10-15 times a day. and he hasnt lost a fish in years.. there is some lakes were you just cant fish with out floro...

PLine fluoroclear is not fluorocarbon line it is a copolymer with some fluorocarbon in the mix. I use this for all my leaders and spinner harness rigs and have no issue with breaks. Also it has a very thin diameter which allows you to increase the pound test. I use 20lb which is very close to 8-10 lb diameter.

oh really, i didnt know that... thanks sheldon..
still dont think i will ever buy it again, i am convinced it's the p-line stuff not the seaguar that i am having issues with. i got 3 reels full of it, thats just garbage.. its 12 pound test stuff..
how often do you retie ?? or do you use it all year with out any problems ??
the stuff still on the spool doesnt break like the stuff on my rod does. i think i left the floro on the spool, and only got snap carbon on my rod...
