Grizz, my son Jeremy and I, took my grandson and nephew for their first trip on the big lake.

How many dudes have ever set out with the intentions to just catch small fish. Well we did Sunday morning, especially after derby fishing on Saturday where we went 19 for 26.
Here is the reason I did that. my grandson Elliott (age 5) and my nephew Kaleb ( age 13). Just leaving the dock.

Elliott into his first king on the big lake.

A little king that was released.

Kaleb into his first fish of the day.

A nice bow for starters.

My son Jeremy with a brown.

Kaleb with the last king of the day.

The boys were a little queasy at times but felt a lot better when the Grand Slam was docked.

The catch of the day. 10 for 14 and 4 released.

For me it was a great day on the water with family and a friend.
Other than the 4 foot waves at times I had a blast. hope to do it real soon.

Al

gezz, 4 foot waves, in that boat should be a brezze, great report,i actualy like seeing the smaller fish better then allways seeing big fish pictues. i see 4 footer's all the time with the bass boat.. just wish i had dipsys ready to go and lots of time, and i control threw it nicely, rather then flying over them..
Because they show that there is a good fishery for the future, and they just look some much cleaner, less beat up, bright shine, etc.

Steve

Way to go guys. Al you really have these fish dialed in. Awesome looking boat....but I have to say your first mate (grizz) luck is sure holding out so far this season. Hope he doesn't use it all up be for hardwater sets in lol. Jason

First picture of the boys looking scared were probably the result of looking at Grizz. Great pics all round. Later, Dave

That is what it is all about , getting to share that time with your son and grandson makes it all worth while , but Al that is one crusty looking first mate , probably thought he was a character from Pirates of the Caribean  Took my son and grandson out on wendsday and the grandson caught his first Bass , now all he says is BIG Bass popa Big Bass makes me smile everytime i think about it ,good to see your staying on the fish Al , good luck in the Tournys :D
