Had a visit from Kyle Wood, Enforcement officer based at Glenora, conducting visits to resorts in the County. Had a few questions regarding the limits that people were catchimg and if I was policing them. I told him I wasn't in that kind of business and he agreed, that it wasn't my job. Told him about the poaching that was happening in the area, prior to the official opening of Walleye and when reports get to them, it is too late. He was aware of the issue and gave me his cell number that he keeps on all the time. He also asked me to pass it on, so here it is. 613 849 5039. Maybe the MNR will hire more officers. Ya, right.

what you should have told him was to go down to the wellington docks in the spring time or right now on saturday morning early he could check for proper licens and he would not have to go far or cost the tax payers money driving around asking questions lol

Interesting comments. I remain convinced that if this was partially funded in part by a legitimate cost recovery formula, that we would see far more creative resolve in all aspects of MNR and how it operates. Thanks for posting this Dave in Wellington.

my budy was on the ferry last week heading to Picton and saw the same two individuals he saw three days earlier on the Kingston side loading up a cooler with smallies from 8 inch's to 15 inch's. So when he got off the ferry he dropped in and told Dave and he got right on the ferry heading back to deal with them..Credit goes out to him for at least trying to make a difference, keep up the good work Dave..
