Arriving at Perfect Vue on the 2nd...haven't seen many fishing reports..either there arent any or everyone is out fishing...lol..

Any news or changes in patterns over the last couple of weeks?

Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Daren, last week fishing was slow on the bay. Hopefully it will be better as we get there friday for the long weekend. We also will be staying at Perfect Vue. Should be there early friday morning, i'll be the guy with the 162 Princecraft with 40hp Envirude.

Well..here it is ...lol...Just returned from stay at Perfect Vue..first time in over 10 years. Joann and staff were great as always...stayed in Cottage #5, we were the old guys...just enjoying the peace and tranqulity..

Fishing? Oh, yeah..did some of that too...Friday between two boats we boated 3 slot fish, biggest was 24....and had 6 fish that were all in the 18.5 size...tough to award the biggest fish of day to anyone when they were all the same size. On Saturday, only one fish, son in law caught on dixie spinner off Sherman's and then good and honest guy that I am, I laid the fish on the gunnel to measure and seeing it was real close..went to measure again and ..whoops...lost my grip and fish swam away for another day...lol..worst thing was that was the only fish caught in our group that day and it would have taken the pot carried over from the previous day and Sat pot to ....$50 dollard fish...lol..boy did I get some looks.

For first visit we felt we did pretty good getting back in to it at the Bay Fish were caught on mostly dixie spinner (worm harnesses) on on an erie derrie, two on Thunder sticks...a perch pattern and a blue and silver pattern. I was the only one trying the Uzick style spinner with no luck..did catch one on a dixie spinner worm harness with the Berkley Gulp worm rather then the dew were on as bait, off Thompson's Point....

Over all the six of us were satisfied (two boats with three each fishing) and have already reserved for next year..and ..probably will make at least one more day trip up this fall. Tried some around Mallory Bay with no luck on Saturday..probably should have gone right to Sherman's with the rest of the crowd..by the time we went back there...bite had slowed and traffic was heavy.

Any way..if anyone saw my green Lund Mr. Pike with the 90 four stroke and the 9.9 four stroke kicker that was me.

Met some real nice guys at Perfect Vue who all were willing to share their tips...I think my troll speed was a little fast...should have thrown out a bag..

Anyway..sorry for being so long winded...but nice trip and look forward to coming back...
