Does anyone know how to get to the closest boat launch at Rice Lake from Kingston?

Thanks.

Don't think it's the closest, but Gores Landing is an excellent launch. It puts you on a decent part of the lake too. North of Cobourg/Port Hope. It's at a Marina called "Harris Boat Works". $5 to launch, and lots of parking if you get there early. If you Google boat launches on Rice Lake, that should help too.

Good Luck!!!

There is an excellent public launch in Hastings.

DO NOT use Gores Landing's launch... it's in HORRIBLE condition right now!!!
I ended up using the marina right beside the public launch ramp.

The closest to Kingston is Bewdley, and all the launches are good there.

Typically $5 to launch.

Hey Stoty... Is that Harris Boat Works launch you're talking about, or another launch at Gore's Landing?? 8O 8O I was there 2 Saturdays ago, and it was perfect. Sloped concrete pad, and deep water. Didn't even have to put my truck in 4X4. LOL Did something happen in the last couple weeks. Just curious, cause was thinking of going there this weekend.

Thanks

Bewdley is closet to Kingston if you take the 401 to 28.

Come up hwy 7 and it is the furthest.

I don't know if I'm looking at the map wrong, but isn't Bewdley the most western point of the lake?? Gore's Landing may be a little more north, but not as far west. He'd be going north out of Cobourg instead of Port Hope.

Hey there guys. Stotty was talking about the public launch in Gores Landing, NOT the one at Harris Boat Works which is one, of if not the best on Rice Lake. I only live ten minutes from them both and Harris's is the way to go.

Hi,

Hastings is the closest. Always use the one on the south side of the river. I whacked my trailer in the fall on the north side ramp. Also, I find the current can be quicker on the north side making launching a bit difficult.
