I travel from Almonte, about 3 hours away from Wellington, and have fished at the bonnet a few times for salmon with some luck. This Tuesday I am bringing 3 of my co-workers with me for couple of days of fishing in the Quinte area. Checking the marine forecast for lake Ontario I am doughtful that we will get out to the bonnet. (rough) Are there other places more sheltered that we could fish for salmon or trout? Adolphus Reach area? I have an 18' Legend Xcalibur. Any advice would be very much appreciated!

You could try the North Channel by the Generating Station - people catch trout there, not sure about salmon.
