still salmon around?

Hi i haven't seen any reports lately. Are the salmon still here? I know they are getting them west. How about the Bonnet? What does everyone fish for when they are gone? Lakers? Thinking of going out sat am.

Yes they are still around. I would concentrate more on McFaul Shoal and east in 105 fow.
Grizz & I did about a dozen shakers sunday evening.

The big ones are orut there just not as many as in July.

The guys have been really doing well on browns at Wicked Bank

Wicked Bank is the bar that runs in a south-westerly direction from Salmon Pt.

Well I didn't get to wicked bank but we did boat some fish. We got 2 small kings and a 6lb atlantic in the trough. Not many fish for 6 1/2 hours of fishing. We only had 2 lines in though. I saw someone else in the area who looked like he caught a few too. I didn't see how big. How late are there Brown trout? What does everyone fish for when the Salmon are gone?

With the cool temps once we get some rain I'm getting my spoons out. They are starting to stack up in the trib mouths.

So what's my best bet this weekend? Wicked bank for browns? I was even thinking of going to port hope and fishing off the mouth of the river. I would rather stay local though.

We are going out in the morning, going to the wall take a look if nothing there will probably take a long troll towards Wicked Banks or if really cloudy and to rough might try the walleye at the Bonnet. Will report how it went.

Didn't go as weather looked threatening and with waves out of the south wouuld have been a long 10 mile ride. Hopefully will make it tomorrow(Friday).
