I'm sorry rtkman, I haven't been out in a while.

This time of year is tough out of Wellington, but I would try the closest structure or aggressive drops straight out of the harbour. There are lots of the Pen fish that come into the harbour in the next few weeks. These fish are staging somewhere fairly close to the harbour. If you spend a little time looking for hooks straight out of the harbour in 40 - 80 fow there has to be some big fish hanging around out there.

I tried wicked Bank yesterday without success. It was a beautifull day but no fish and didn't mark many either.

I am in Dalhousie now pre-fishing a King of the Lake tournament, but I will be home Monday and weather permitting Grizz and I will be out to try late season salmon, browns and we have walleye tackle on board.

In 2009 while we were doing the Stikevision video for the M. C. Rocket website I caught 12 kings over 20 lbs. and 1 over 30. They are there, you just have to find them.

Will post results.

Al
