Quinte Fishing

hi guys this is my first time posting on the board. i am plannining a fall fishing trip to picton bay. i was wondering if anyone could give me any advice on techniques and strategies i could use to hook up into some big eyes and some bass and pike as well. i will be staying at merland park for three nights. as much info as possible would be appreciated as this is my first time fishing here

If you read some of the old posts, they're loaded with tips and tactics. Also you'll find a few that tell you what's "hot" etc

Many troll using the Uzick spinners while other use stickbaits like Mann's +20's, rebel Fast Tracks, Wally divers, Big-O's. Speed is an all important factor. I haven't been down in the last year, (something I'm hoping to put an end to this fall) but generally 1.5-2.5 mph should get you some results.

Use a drift sock if you need to. Slows you down nicely. they can be picked up relatively cheaply nowadays.

Then it's a simple matter of putting in the time.

Just like wall-I-guy says try a variety of lures at different speeds and don't forget about planner boards. They make for a stealth like approach.....Larry
