i have learned alot, spent a ton of time on it, and caught a ton of fish drop shotting this year. was also lucky enough to spend a day fishing with one of the top quinte guys smallie fishing. (wont mention the name). Thank you.
i am looking at expanding my bait arsenel, currently have slammers, berkly products, jackall, drugshad, and several japanesse baits.
but for some reason, when the fishing is tough, i struggle to get them to bite, i can see them, just cant get them to bite..
Thanks guys,
steve

Fireball... sounds like you have every lure or rubber ever invented. If they're not biting, they're not biting. Go home and have a few beers. Even the pro's have bad days!!!!

Give the Twitch from Bass Magnet Lures a try, you can get them at Pro Advantage Paintball in Belleville.

Take a Berkley 3 in minnow and slice it in half lengthways , seems to make light movement transfer to the bait a lot better , the thinner you slice the more active the minnow becomes ,good luck and good fishing :D

do they have the bass magnet drop shot shad ??? (at pro advantage)
are bait selection really sucks in kingston, even the slammer selection they have at canadian tire is horrible, they started carrying more x-zone stuff, and now even less slammer colours.
i really wish some one would open a store here, or one of the big chains would come, we have the market for one.. like a 120,000 population, and all we have is walmart and canadian tire, for fishing stuff.. some one is diffently missing out... as us locals travel else where to buy are stuff...

Thats why there is no sports store there.A lot of people order over the internet and travel elsewhere to shop.No one supports the small shops.

I believe there is certainly room for another outdoor retailer in Kingston and that people would support it. Lots of people, including myself, are getting tired of being overcharged due to lack of competition in our market. Belleville/Quinte area has it great with several options and that keeps cost competitive. If you buy an item at a large chain retailer in Kingston you can pay 20-30% more than you would from that same retailer in Belleville and in Belleville you can buy it for roughly the same price at any number of places. Support the independant guy and don't get hijacked by the big box stores.

Couple of items to check if you want to see the difference between stores. Offshore Inline planer boards & Pyrodex 777 50 grain pellets 100box. End of rant, see you in Belleville sometime soon.

Between Pro Advantage for bass magnet baits and canadian tire check out the set the hook baits they have some great drop shot baits I'm sure you can get some good stuff. Talk to Mat at Canadian tire and Jamie at Pro Advantage they will hook you up with some great baits.

I wish there was any shops in kingston, of course having a Bass Pro or Sail would be amazing but id just assume stacy open a franchise here :)

Canadian tire is brutal for pricing... Reef Runners for 9.99 or 10.49 when you can drive for 45 minutes east or west and get them for 7.50 or 7.99. My friend just a got a reel given to him for his bday that he found out was $40 cheaper at Gander and BPS regular price. They wouldnt even match it because it isnt local competition... So obviously hes returning it and ordering online. Thats the reason people dont shop local.

/my rant

:)

Bass Magnet Twitch, I did fish this weekend out of Deseronto. A Bass Magnet Twitch and tube were what I was getting the smallies on. Just slow down, don't move the bait, keep it dead still. If you can't get those fish to bite stop wasting time on them and move, find fish that will bite. You can look at all the big fish you want but if they are not going to eat your bait then you are wasting valuable time.
