Wellington is about 70 miles west of Kingston on Lake Ontario. Kingston might be a better bet at the present time for walleye. We are out just playing around. I couldn't promise it would be worth the trip all the way down here. We'll have lines set for eyes but probably a couple spoons on the riggers for some big ass browns. :D :D :D

Later
Al

You will get channel 71 on that VHF. Just be careful, you are supposed to be licensed to operate it, but if you are just monitoring it, we believe that is OK. I would be surprised if half the users are legal anyhow. The 40 Channel unit will pick up 40 channels not 1-40.

Hey Al what about right off of Nicholson Island on the south side? I've seen boats there different times always supected they were fishing for walleye or bass. We will go there if you think is is worth it.

Went to Quinte today but so much seaweed floating that one of us were pulling lines constantly. When the planer board got so loaded it started to sink decided we had enough fun for one day, needless to say no eyes.

Sure Bill. Might be a good place to start. I am thinking 60 fow to start with. Ian is starting at McFaul's & I think we may start just east of the Bonnet Island.

I might stop by this evening.

Al

Cool sronza, We'll be out there. if you see a net waving that means we are on the fish.

Give me a description of your vessel.

Al

Ok ..due to the bigger than expected waves we fished the north side of scotch Bonnet and Nicleson Island to a shoal In 50 60 fow to the north . Marked lone fish here and there but no takers . Very little bait fish marked in the area . A couple nice fish on radar around scotch Bonnet Island and a lone salmon splashing around at the surface . Nice day to be out though .

I agree a great day on the water, only fish brought into our boat was a steelhead on a 8lb. line which put on quite a show for the Admiral. We tried Mcfall, Palen and Scotch Bonnet shoal. We did listen to Tightline's telling Al & Ian he was fishing north west of the Bonnet that they had netted four browns. Guess what we will be fishing for if we have chance to hit the water again this fall.

Ok Gang,

I know a few have been waiting with baited breath on how the 3 of us made out last weekend and I apologize for being so slow posting back. To say the least it was one of my favourite trips out this past season, good weather, reasonably water, and a ton of laughs, great smoked fish and food. It was a great day on the water. So much fun!

We started out at 6:00, stopped in a couple places on our way to the Bonnet to check for fish and temps. Don't really find anything promising so we head to the Bonnet.

We all work on putting together what we think is going to work for us and setup the spread, funny how 3 guys with tons of experience always go first thing to the go to baits. We have spoons, reef runners, Td's and inline boards going and even worked a rigger for a while.

We fished for 6 hours, discussed, hunting, cormorants, salmon fishing, fishing friends, etc , etc.

Anyways here is a pic of our best fish of the day. ENJOY!

We're back out tomorrow and are seeking revenge, taking no prisoners.
