Was out to fish on the 13th in the morning, wind was blowing from the east with two foot swells between Shermans and Thompsons. Tried to finesse but the waves make it really hard.

Flatlined across to west Shore, fished the Big Willow area and made a pass at Grandfather Cove, headed to Shermans and the wind died. Made a couple of passes and made a couple of passes at the KIngscourt Weed bed.

Fished from 0930 - 1330 - one dead Goby flipped over the side.

Got back out on Tuesday (14th) with my Dad and we had calmer water, trolled Thompsons Cove and I hit a 6 LB Channel Cat on an Uzick. Pulled pretty hard.

Made four go rounds at Mallory, with no results.

Headed to Picton Bay and fished east shore to Merlands - nothing.

Tried the west shore weedline in Picton Bay and Superdads' Dad had a strike. Couldn't move the fish as it was takling line off the reel. He christened his new rod with a 10 LB Channel Cat on an Orange Uzick.

Trolled from Thompsons to the yellow marker. Marked a TON of fish in the deep hole at Thompsons and northward up to the yellow marker. There's lots of fish there. Good Signs ( I hope)

We finished around 1315 and head home.

No walleyes but the Channels found real hard - My Dad's comment was he has never had a fish pull that hard.

We got the Big Channel Cat across the bay from Merland Park, trolling VERY close to the weeds as I really didn't know where they were where until we were in them.

We were trolling at .5 MPH with Uzick Spinners, My Dad was using a 3/8 oz bullet sinker which was depper than the 1/4 oz I was using.

We weren't fishing for catfish, but a fish is a fish and they PULL HARD.

Go get em
