Hello. I just joined the board this morning and have been doing a great deal of reading so far. I've found lots of useful info already and plan on finding a lot more, thank you all.

I have been down to the Trent quite a few times this summer, fishing just north of the 401 in Trenton. I don't have a boat (yet) and was wondering if anyone can fill me in on some good shore fishing spots. I'm willing to go as far as Belleville and am looking to land pretty well any type of fish.

Thanks! Could I trouble someone for directions so that I can check it out? I went to school at Loyalist so I am pretty familiar with Belleville.

GraftonGal,
Take Dundast St. into Belleville then turn right onto the bay bridge. Dont go over the bridge. Turn right at the lights at the foot of the bridge which takes you into Zwicks park. From there make your way out to the causeway under the bridge and fish from there. Myiers pier in at the waterfront in Belleville is another popular spot at night time for eyes. One last thing, welcome aboard!

Just wanted to thank you guys for the info. I went down on Saturday night for a few hours after dark, and left after I lost feeling in my hands from the cold, lol! Great spot, the fish were jumping, just not onto my lure unfortunately! I will definately be back though.

if you want to catch some crazy fish try the dam north of lock 7 in the trent in Glen Ross, (north of frankford). walk across the dam to the west side where the trees and hill are, look down and you'll usually see 3 to 10 gar resting on the bottom, also a good spot if you like carp fishing, my wife caught a 20lbs carp there, very fun to catch!!!
