My favourite time of the year. Fall bass fishing.
What? Fall?
Well, where we were it was!
63 degree water temps in the morning. Air temps at 40 degrees in the morning. Day time high's around 60 degree's with the water only warming to a max of 70 degree's during the highest sun points.
Bass were in full fall swing!
We spent some time exploring the area as well. It's our sixth trip up there in three years, and we have never really left the cottage.
Craws and Tubes worked in the first drop from the shallows performed best. Evening froggin' worked as well. The biggest bass were starting to resemble pumpkins.
I just love this kind of fishing for largies. The rest of the year will be simple draggin bottom for smallies....
Reeds were still around, but the thicker weeds were already turning brown.
Many big bass were caught. One being the largest weighed bass I've ever seen in person. Great job George!
Since my return, it has also been a whirlwind. Two nights of sold out Pearl Jam shows (Toronto and Hamilton).
I got engaged last Monday!
Life can be wild!
But enough of that, here's some pics.
hopefully we get a few more weeks of decent weather for buckets before it's smallies for the rest of the season.
