Yup there is a ramp at prinyers, I've never personally launched there but have heard its a good ramp. Much closer to the gap and will save you big gas $

Tried the ramp at Prinyers but it's really tough. We managed to launch my 18' but it wasn't easy. It is really nice that it's close to the gap but other than that I wouldn't do it again....

We tried the ramp at the ferry today; not even close. 21' boat with tandem trailer. Even while dangling the back two trailer tires off the end of the ramp grate, the boat wasn't even floating.

Just a heads up!

I think the docks will be out of the water by mid November at Macfarlands. They were last year. You can still launch there, but have to beach your boat to get in and out.

Good one Steve, never thought of that. I believe last year I launched there twice at the end of October, and the docks were there, but went back early November, and they were out.

can you bring your boat on the ferry to get over to the Picton side? Also what about Pickerel Park or the Old Church in the bay.

thanks

yes you can trailer on the ferry with your boat. pickerel park closes for the season this sunday. I havent launched at the old church ramp in years as the last time i did it was tough getting the boat to float off the trailer. with low water levels we have now i can only imagine it would be that much worse.
