well launched at that place in kingston that has a church beside it, :roll:

fished in bout 20 ft of water , using a sorta like rapala(bought it in panama )runs deep. couldnt keep the fish off . had 2 quit after 2 hrs, arms were gettin sore

fished from 7till 9. hey trophy hunter was that you parked beside me ?

No that wasn,t me parked there , I ran the big boat out from Treasure island , seen you out there , we were closer to nine mile , wild how they came on with the storm front ,we were marking them stacked up in 20-40 fow , hooks like no tomorrow

,I do believe that the waleyes were feeding on shad ,could see them rising off bottom when the hooks dropped down , The gobies are huge out there also could be why they are getting so big

This one that we got out of a small rainbow this summer. Have seen them that large in some 5 & 6 lb. browns.

do you think the walleye eat the gobies as well? I know bass do and obviously pike/musky and apparently rainbows do lol. I would think if the walleye turn on them they will be getting very large as there seems to be an endless supply of gobies around this end of the lake...

down where i used to live (lake huron ,georgian bay) the alewife population was decimated by the gobies upon there arrival. so as the food chain goes the salmon sizes were decimated to the extent that for a couple of yrs, the owen sound salmon derby winner was smaller weight than the steelhead class winner. however the salmon adapted after a few yrs, and now the size(wts) are increasing to what they used to be. ive seen 5 to 6 inch gobies in huron, and ive seen them put through the ole grinder for fish cakes

On my last 2 trips out to lake ontario fishing for smallies using goby imitating drop shot baits caught 2 walleyes, first was a 10.5lb and the second was a 8.0lb Both came out of 30 ft
