I was driving down Front Road this morning and saw this...it was the only white one and amongst hundreds and hundreds of geese. 8O

Not sure what type of bird it was but know it had to be some sort of duck / goose thing (doose?!?). It had a dark spot on it's tail and seemed to have an attraction to another goose in the pack...they were sticking close together and looking like they were more than friends!

I've seen a lot of geese this time of year in the fields but think this year for sure more than past years. This is a sea of geese!

Dirt - I think this is near your house...have you seen this many in years past?

Cheers,

Paul

That makes more sense as to why, then. Thanks Dirt!

I knew it wasn't a duck....

I saw the same thing about one mile west of Westport, funny there was just one with about thirty Canadian geese.

yes it is a snow goose, we used to get a few every year at our farm. Have also seen a good number of Brant geese this year

Yes, a snow goose. There are literally thousands in Saskatchewan where I'm from.

Yup a snow goose. There are a pile of birds there every year, I use to stop and drool looking at all those birds and no one can ever hunt them there :( :( :(
