Shore Fishing - BoQ

Hi There,

Looking for some places to shore fish with the wife. Been having bad luck with catching walleye from the shore and we don't have a boat. I figure since the BoQ is full of walleyes, maybe one of the locals could put us on some from the shore. Were coming from Toronto.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

north side under bay bridge can hold a few,i have seen 1 or 2 of them landed from the pier too.also try near the george street launch,sometimes after dusk they come closer in

Trent river is good as well. Down near the mouth or the first dam are some good spots.

I have had success at the bay St bridge in the skinny water in the fall, just minnow and float.

I have had great luck in the Trent in the fall. Both the #1 dam and mouth on either side docs (in the weeds) hold lots of fish in the cold. I have night fished right up until ice next to the cold storage and the other side in the inlet to the marina. But you can pretty much fish anywhere on the trent in the fall.

If you fish the Dam, you can also get Salmon, whitefish (lots) walleye musky, browns, lakers... and even caught a pink there one year!

I would stick to the South end of the bay bridge (under) for walleye and perch w/jiggin raps and jigs tipped with worms.... and as others have said, the Myers pier at night.

Might be worth a try in Picton at the marina at night and the ferry dock.
