Grizz & I decided to take a buddy from Calabogie you has never experienced fall Quinte walleye fishing. Stan has fished Kiwanis spring walleye derby for many years. We left the dock in Picton at 6:15 and set lines about 2 miles east of the ferry about 6:45. We had these 2 in the boat before we poured our second cup of coffee.

We gave Grizz the port side to run his stuff. Stan & I fished the starboard. Gene says Chuck changes lure too much.

Sunday was a better day for me, the wheel man. You don’t get a lot of days in the fall when you can see your wake of the in-lines. I even got to reel in an eye, I think?

Had a very rare attack of insomnia on the weekend and I was running on about 6 hours sleep in the last 48 and was about half brain dead. Finally when I realized the eyes had gone deep we dropped in some junk rods and got some action.
Stan with a nice Quinte eye.

The five cores & 8 cores finally started to produce. After A couple more we pulled lines just after 1 pm and headed back to Picton. About a 10.8 mile run.

The hot lures for the day were TD-11s in Blue Hawaiian, and Iriedescent.
Reef Runners - Eriely Naked and Iriedescent. Had a shot on a diver set on 2 out 170’. Missed it.
All in all it was a great day on the water and I have finally caught up on the sleep depravation.
Stan had a great day and said he learn some sh*t.
Speed for the day 1.8 sog.

Later
Al

Congrats on successful day, and thanks for pointers/tips. We are starting our annual trips to BOQ next week Tue-Wed-Thur. If you are out on any of these days give us a shout on VHF.

Nice work, sounded like many people had trouble getting them Sunday, good to see you found them.

hahaha isnt all that often I get my own side of the boat and yes i even changed lure colores a few times lol. you would have been prowd of me Gene......... of course i had to catch the fish in order to know what color to use. but we did put together a nice pattern and managed a nice box of fish for the table. not bad for a few old guys in a boat on a tough day!

Looks like sunday maybe the same as last sunday. We don't get many days on the weekend like that during the fall.
