Usually between Oct 6-15 or therein, they begin. A good rain and/or temperature drop, to lower the surface temp should help. I am too far away to give you anything more exact, but those generalities fit the Napanee R. very well. I understand that there has been more rain this year, making my own hunch (which I will not be able to confirm) that this should be a stronger run.

Saw lots of fish and lots of fishers last Monday in Pulaski NY, Big and black salmon running and jumping.

May get a chance to get to Springside Park. Mon or Tues and will look around.

Took a short stop at Springside Park around 1400 this afternoon. Didn't see any fish show, talked to a guy who said there are some fish in the hole at the base of the falls and another chap saw a dead carcass on the shore downstream a bit.

FYI

My mother said she saw a few jumping at Springside Park on Sun. or Mon. Only 1 fisherman observed apparently.
